hey all. i am experiencing a weird issue and i was hoping somewhere here could shed some light for me. here is what happened:

one of my h3 fog light bulbs went out last week, but i decided to change them today. when i took them out and putted in a new one, it worked fine. so i turned off the lgiht, and screwed the housing back on. however, when i went to test it again, none of the lights worked except for the regular driving lights/HIDS.

1) when car is turned on with all lights active, only the HID/driving light is on
2) i can press brake and the brake light will go on, but it wont stay on once i let go when its suppose to.
3) the side marker lights/halo ring lgihts dont come on
4) the turn signal side markers dont come on unless i signal or put on hazards, normally its steady and on.
5) when i push the alarm, all lights seem to work.

so basicly right now i cant drive it at night since my tail lights wont be on and i dont want to get into an accident or have cops pull me over. i am stumped. i woudl think its the fuse, but the fuse seems to be fine. my second guess would b a sort somewhere. i have no idea what to do, before i bring it to the shop for them to look, i hope somewhere here can share any information. thank you in advance

 

Everything worked fine before you switched the fog light bulbs though?

 

did you check all the fuses? even the one under the hood?

 

hmm yes i jsut checked one of the fuses blew.
i just replaced it and it seems to be working. however, now my car wont start. it cranks but it dont seem to have energy to start. would that be th ebattery or alternator? thanks
