K24 will make close to 200wtq while K20's make around 160wtq from what Ive seen...(bolt ons/tuned)
Due to the larger stroke of the K24, youll have more TQ at any given rpm compared to the K20...
Go with the 2.4L

i hope you have an LSD and really good tires.
you will be spinning tires in 3rd gear with the k24 because you will have an excessive amount of torque.

don't tell me i didn't warn you.

what tranny would you recommend for a weekend auto x and a low final drive gear. i currently have a boosted ITR(4 sale) but i hate the 5th gear kuz it runs so damn high for freeway mileage

stock k20a2 type-s transmission/gearing with an LSD.

no higher final drive. the k20z1 transmission has a higher (4.7) final drive.

you are mistaken.
the 06 Si transmission/engine = K20Z3.
the 05+ RSX Type-S = K20Z1
and of course
02-04 RSX Type-S = K20A2

there is also another LSD or torque biasing gear diff option which is pretty good.
AUTOTECH who distributes quaife to the US, is offering their own diff, WAVETRAC.
it is said to have improvements over quaifes original design.
