Suddenly, no fuel...?
HI all,
1990 Accord LX, 2.2. I was about to check the fuel pressure with a gauge after having replaced the rubber line from the regulator to the metal line leading to the pump. I know there was pressure and the pump appeared to be working, because before I changed out the line I could see it was leaking, and with the engine running there was a steady stream of fuel that could be seen.
After replacing the line, I fired up the engine and there are no leaks, however the engine simply died and now it cranks and cranks but no fuel. I took the line off the regulator and crnked the engine again to see if anything was coming, but nothing. Is it likely that the fuel pump just chose that moment to die? I can't hear it making any noises at all.
Is there a cutoff relay or sensor that might have killed the pump when the pressure was low?
I really don't want to have to remove the tank for this, and it seems really unlikely it would just pick that second to die, but I guess it could have...
Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

just happened to me last week - I literally pulled the fuel pump fuse out of fuse box and put it back in and it started working. I replaced the fuse just in case it was bad, but haven't had the problem for 2 weeks now.
which fuse is that? I don't see any specifically labelled for the fuel pump. Is it in the main fuse box on the rear passenger side of the engine bay? I looked over the fuses and didn't see any that appeared to be blown.
thanks!
thanks!
Well that did it! Still not sure which fuse it was, but i pulled the ones next to the drivers side kick plate, i think probably the 15A ECU one. Starts right up now!
And, the new hose is in and pressure's good!
Now, if i could just get the @$@$# crank pulley off!!!
