Default Lubing the Hardtop

I bought my car used with a hardtop allready on it. Some of my friends advised that i lube up all the rubber or it will go bad, i cant find any instruction on how to remove and put the hardtop back on without it being a full blown instalation guide. If any u guys know of a nice guide for just taking it off and putting it back on that would be great. Do you guys lube your hardtops? Thanks! -Kevin

There are 2 latches on the top of the windshield and one on each side od the top right behind the headrest. Unlatch the 2 on the winsheild, then tip both seats forward and release the sidecatches. Now lift the top off. It takes 2 people to lift the top off. Be sure you go over the back of the car when you remove the top. Now get some Shin etsu grease from Honda and wipe it on all the rubber seals. Do the ones on the doors too while you are at it, it keeps soft.

So i took the hardtop off and lubed ALL the rubber on my car with shin etsu grease, 29 bucks from the honda dealer, but at first they were trying to persuade me to buy this silicone spray, i told them no... I Finally got to drive around with the top down, feels like a completely different car! and the sound of my duel invidia exhaust is even more AMAZING without the hardtop on. I am definately going to be sporting the convertable more often before it gets cold. And for halloween i am getting a badass wearwolf costume so i can drive around and scare people Thanks again
