Default OT: Silicone hoses........can this be dangerous?

if you were to use the generic silicone hoses that you would normally use to dress up the engine bay on the brake booster do you think it could cause any serious danger to the braking system of the car? what are the main concerns with replacing that hose?

it's the 2 peice hose that attatches to the IM with a one way valve in between and then it goes into the brake booster.........

i'd like to know before i go ahead and replace them just so that i dont put myself into any stupid situation.....

thanks.
