Oil/grease burning off exhaust after engine swap
Ok, so I replaced the engine in this 4dr, but ever since there has been this mysterious smoke coming up from below the motor or something.
There are no drips, and I can't see anything thats wet (oil, coolant, and trans fluid haven't gone down at all).
Now, I know that it can take a little bit for stuff to burn off the exhaust manifold but how long should it really take? This car has probably idled or been driven lightly around the neighborhood for 30-45 mins so far and it's still coming out.
The only other thought I had was maybe exhaust is leaking from either inbetween the downpipe and that little mini piece, or the mini piece and the catalyst?
It's greyish in color, not white like antifreeze or blue like oil.
The car has not been driven on normal roads or the freeway at all, if that makes a difference.

Spray it off with brake clean or carb clean. Or take it to a coin-op car wash and hose it off. There may be a couple globs of grease that may smoke and smell for a day or two.

Whenever I do an engine swap I always tell customers it could smoke lightly for the first 3-5 days. Grease gets in wierd places when you change an engine.
