Default Parents SNAFUd my car!!! Someone Please Help!!!

Hey Guys,

I am a rat at VMI and I am not allowed to have my car here, so I left it at home with my parents. So my mom left the lights on my 90 CRX si on the other day and someone tried to help her jump it and crossed the cables. It blew a fuse, so she called AAA and they towed it home and replaced the fuse. My dad jumped the car and said a check engine code was thrown. He does not know how to read the codes, but I have it set up so he can flip a switch and the check engine light flashes the code.

Anyone know what it might be that happened off-hand? A friend of mine is going to check it out for me, but I dunno when my dad is going to let him come over.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT

Thanks in advance,

Brian

My dad said it ran, and I got sent him a write up on how to read the codes. He said it is flashing a code nine (his words were nine flashes, pause, nine flashes, pause, and so on...) So I am looking at the distributor going bad then?

I've seen people do that and completely blow a coil so that could be the problem but you said it starts so thats definatly not it. tell him how to clear the code and drive the car around the block if possible and see if the code goes back on.
