Having some trouble with my supercharged '02 type S..
So, I'm new to this forum... and I'm new to my car lol. I've had my supercharged 2002 RSX Type S for a little over a month now. I have the "Race" kit with the high boost pulley, but I'm only running 7psi. The K20 is still weird to me, I'm used to Evos and D series.. So yeah.
I was getting off the interstate last week, and as I had the clutch in and I was coasting to a stop sign, I noticed my idle was at 5k. I pulled over, my temp gauge was fine, so I didn't automatically shut it off. I checked my throttle to see if it was stuck, but the whole cable was fine. I turned it off then back on, it was still doing it. It was giving itself gas; all I had to do was change gears, and it drove itself all the way through 4th. In the higher gears, 5th and 6th, the rpms wouldn't rise as they did in the lower gears.
I was like an hour from home, so I checked for anything major(as in, its gonna blow up if i drive it) and lowered the throttle to keep from killing my clutch and charger. Now, its fine when you first start it, idling at about 1k.... then it goes to 2k and bounces between it and 3k. Up, down, up down. When I drive it, sometimes it'll be fine... but then randomly it'll cut my fuel off at 3k. Its been parked for the past few days, and I've replaced the map sensor, throttle and cruise control cables, all the vacuum lines, the entire throttle body & throttle body gasket inculding the tps unit and iac valve. I'm waiting on the intake mani gasket and the supercharger gasket that Jackson Racing is shipping me, to see if that'll fix it.
I have a hondata flash instead of k-pro... I thought it might have something to do with the tune, but when I called my performance shop they were convinced its a vacuum leak...
Any help would be appreciated...
