can't get bolt out?
I'm having a little trouble getting the bolt where the lower control arm bolts up to the lower shock fork...One side came out normal...the otherside seems to be stuck on the bushing...
What do I do??.. would an impact break it loose?
THaks

go to you local hardware store and buy a propane torch heat that bitch up good and it should come right out. You are going to toast the bushing so you will need to get a new bushing for it or get some different LCAs
i ended up having to cut off the shocks, order new ones, and new bushings. tried heating it with a torch and nothing. dont bother drilling it, it doesnt work.
this happened to me two days ago. here's what i did...
1. break the head of the bolt off.
2. break off the nut that is tack welded to the shock.
3. take a pry bar and pry the foot of the shock away from the lower control arm, and grind the threaded end of the bolt off between the shock and the LCA. once this is done, you should be able to work the shock off the LCA.
4. borrow a ball joint remover from a friend and use the fittings to press the old bushing out of the LCA. this may take some trial and error.
5. press new bushing in, and put 'er back together.
hope this helps.
