Default 08-2009 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe average Selling price in california?

Hey guys I want to get an ideal of how much the 2008 or 2009 accord 2dr coupe would be aprox. It wil be through 1.9 apr deal no trade in's or down's just want to see how much i can work with and negociate.

my area is santa cruz county ~ santa cruz capitola watsonville salinas gilroy

i'm looking for the V6 with leather which is the EX-L right?

specs i think is
3.5L V6 MPI SOHC 24V

I want black but dont mind silver then from there which ever color

So far questions or thoughts would be

auto or manuel ~ and why

I would want fuel saving so it sounds like auto may be the choice and i wont be running this car or modifiing it heavily, ~ maybe for sound (CAI Exhaust) but beyond that it wont be a race car.

and what are the differences in model options.... I could careless about bluetooth headset or sunroof.

~ Navigation /Sound

I still have the ideal that aftermarket is better but what is benefit of oem navi? and what restrections as opposed to aftermarket?

Dont want stock sound it sucks will be upgrading from amps to subs > speakers

~ Alarm .....

Would love to start the car with keys i want to be paged if some vibration is around it lol so sensitivy goota be good.

kill start? without honda keys no go!.

And on the projector headlights its still halogen so i cannot put HID options?

Oh And i Love to accelerate fast burn tire smoke etc etc

Yeah i know wastes gas and dont care about cops oh well

so yeah discuss to see what is the average selling point....

Willing to go upto Palo alto California (up to a 2hr drive) san jose / san francisco

same goes with South....

let me know guys Thanks In Advance And sorry for the long thread

EDIT :

Oh and what problems or recalls if any?

So far i found that the 2008 coupe vibrates and MAYBE it might be fixed by replacing the inner tie rod

Also if i have aftermarket tires/wheels how does this affect TPMS?

I think i would love 18's what suggestion for Great road feel/handling response?

My best advice for u is test drive them and get a feel for them, if u travel alot ull need navi, they run now 09 about 24-30000 fully loaded, v6 is a plus 271hp 09 only , do u like stick or auto thats ur opinion, i would get stick, the 09 v6 cp comes with 18"s , so no extra $$ spent on rims, u can look u recalls and search these forums for some more tips and advice ur bound to find something about the 08-09,
well good luck with ur purchase .....

I just sat in a Coupe this weekend. I want one. But with kids, no can do. It had dealer installed ugly wheel, and dealer wanted 34K.

Hondas are hot again, so don't expect any discount on top line models.

Example:
http://www.chapmanhonda.com/ho...12750

I would choose the auto because the wife can drive it too. Aside from my situation, I would still choose the auto. It will add to your resale, and it just look a bit cleaner IMO. It's powerful, smooth, run like silk, feels like a luxury car so auto is the way to go, even if I were to install an exhaust (to hear). Maybe I'm just getting old and don't want to shift anymore.

My wife is from Castroville, and between their family, they have (had) about 10 Hondas, so I sort of know the dealership well. Well enough to say, they don't offer the best deals. Then again, they don't know how to play hard ball with car sales guys.

I used to buy from Steven's Creek in San Jose. They are slick, but I don't care. They are willing to deal and play the game. I got my price. Capital Honda never wanted to work with me. They actually show me the door because I was asking too low.

Good luck.

I think that is good, cause it's below MSRP. Then again, I'm still a newbie on 09 pricing, so I don't know what is the (real) lowest.

In for more reply.

I purchased a black 09 Accord Coupe EX-L V6 with navigation for $30K in Frisco, TX. That price falls in line with what buying services expect to pay, and still gives the dealer a nice profit over invoice.

I really like the Honda navigation system. Easier to use, and more features than the Garmin Nuvi I have in another vehicle. For me, the Bluetooth is invaluable.

For the last 25 years I've had standards, but went with an auto this time due to the improved mileage with the auto, and my wife can drive this car home from the bar. I don't miss the manual transmission.

Hope this helps you with making your decision.

Even when I played hardball with SC Honda in SJ, I could not even get a set of $50 floormats. I even told the sales guy I was going to get him lunch while they prep the car.

Never hurt to ask. Or ask for something. But I would not make it a hardball item. Whatever you do, just don't let them bump up the price anymore by giving you some BS - You want aero kit? How about I give you 20% off? IMO.

Maybe I should have used "quotes." I mean them, the dealer- and jut typed like a conversation. My point is don't let them bump up the price, because the markups are accessories are even more than the margins on a new car.

On the other end of the Accord line...

I'm looking at an ad from the St. Louis paper, an '09 Accord LX sedan, manual transmission, for $19,499 (and this dealer has something like 15 in stock, I just checked their website).

$690 destination charge included, tax, title, license not included. OK, I know that you want more, but just keep this price in mind when you are looking at all of the extras - is it really worth the extra money? Maybe for you it is, maybe it isn't.

its really gonna be hard for me to add the front/sides/rear spoiler without price increasing...

i want honda kit and suspension drop .... im thinking about engine start since i ** THINK*** it already has a security system?

if its 27,475 OTD including the 4k down that puts me about $785 a month for 36 months thats $28,260 - $27,475 = 785 in intrest for 36 months right????

i think i got at $785-$815 in intrest.....

thats with the 1.9 apr for 36 months

for sure i want the honda kit and less on the drop and a Maybe on the engine start

but what kind of alarm does it have?

How much should i be expecting if i have them add the front/sides/rear spoiler?

thats for sure i want those, i found that arond 94x ish or so from internet on those parts and its 1,131 or 1,313 in honda website

Please help :D

I'll have to put my finance hat on and say this:

Maybe this is not the time for you to buy such a car. 4K down and $785 a month?

$785 is too much risk for anyone making any amount. We have not even talk about other costs of owning a car.

You may have a good job, etc, but $hit happens in life. You don't want to be in a bad situation.

My suggestion would be to save up for the 2010 model. If you can put $20K, down, and stretch it to 60 months, then it would be resonable.

The only way I think $785 make sense would be if your take home pay after all taxes is $4,000 a month. That would be the min. IMO.

i can make $1,000 a month payments, its 700-800 in intrest for 3 yrs.... i like the term of 36 months i can go to more options, but i was thinking of the 1.9 apr for 24-36 month thing, of i had a problem of making payments then it would be 3.99 for 60 months....

so its not an issue, i thought it was a good thing if you pay alot of cash in a monthly payments

low payment = never ending debt with high intrest

or doubling it up or trippling it up ....

Do i make sense?

and yes consider say a 2,000 a yr insurances thats about 165-175 a month 150 gas and so fourth,,,,

this is after all my personal stuff paid ( rent/food cell/internet etc etc)

so its not an issue of months lol or amount or term

i thought it was good to pay high payment with Low intrest?

Update:

So the sales guy called me today and i told him to add the hfp aero spoiler kit (front sides rear) hfp suspension and engine start at no addtional cost

so i got those 3 items at the current OTD price of $27,475

i asked him since im having honda sent me a new one if they would come pre installed and he said yes. Is this true?

while i was wating im strongly consider the 08 / 09 Lexus is350 they seem very very fast has HID from stock and it seems to grab my attention.

Any takes or comments?
