Default Is an Integra still worth getting?

I'm thinking of an Integra. Are they still worth getting?

Most examples are with high miles and/or beat up my their 5th owner. Tegs are still hella expensive.

If you guys lost your Teg today, would you get another one?

Yea, i would say they are.... You can still find them with decent mileage and female driven where they are not abused. Mine is still in great shape and the body has over 280k miles on it.
The beauty of these cars is, if the motor and tranny wear out, you drop another in and keep rollin'. They are very versitile because you can sink all sorts of different motors in them with only minor mods and they fit right in.
Honda makes a good product.

ya i honestly think the dc is one of the most beatiful cars around. they are extemly cheap to mod and repair ( compared to many cars). not only do you get honda reliablity but you gat acuras elegance. and also their not the slowest cars around.. im on my second and will most likely buy a third.

i would only get another one if i can get it for the same price. 94 4door gsr for $2700(with tax and tags). and only 155,000 miles. was a good find

Integra's are definately still worth it! They're nice cars, reliable, and the modability is almost limitless.

I've owned 2 and I'm about to buy a 3rd one

honestly a lot of friends let me test drive their expensive new cars and i get pretty impressed.

but the difference between the new cars and my teg is the smile that it gives me.

probably because its mine, and i think about all the work i did to make it they way it is.

my point is any car you get you will eventually grow to like, if you put this question in the s2000 forum "350z or s2000" im pretty sure you will get a bias answer to s2000 because its what they've grown to love

i love mine. the only problem i ran into is that you will pay coin for a clean low mile one. i'm actually selling my corvette to downsize a little & invest the money from it in the markets. the 'teg is just as much fun to autocross. has WAY more room for hauling stuff and gets great MPG. i bought a '97 GSR with 136K and have more or less restored the car. i'm very happy with it in a daily driver sense and on the track.

could be me being a sucker for the dc2 and db8
stock integra gsr is a pretty sweet ride
even though my first one was stolen theres always more ways to improve security on the, as long as your not half assin on it like on insurance and gas and parts
pretty sure you will be very happy moding it to your liking
i went from cg 4 door accord to
jade green 05 dc5 type s
to a 99 integra dc2 (stolen) but had full coverage ( would of been pissed without it)
than to hg accord coupe 5 speed
back to integra 4 door semi moded
pretty happy with the gas it gets and maintaining is pretty simple and easy
drive it nice it will last forever

Because those of us with unmolested, never crashed, low mileage, low owner count Integras purchased them with the intention of not selling any time soon.

I bought my 00 GSR in 03 for $17k with 24k miles on her. Today, she has 74k miles. I suppose I can even claim to be the first owner, since it was leased for the first 3 years of use.

Yeah, my 8 year old daily driver only has 74k miles on it. Gotta love a 6 mile commute. It will be 2011 before I even come close to hitting 100k.

Think anyone would even consider offering what its worth?

My '97 GSR has had only one owner and has only 76000 miles. It has never been wrecked, stolen, or otherwise molested. If it were a total loss, I would not seek another. My needs are much different now compared to when I bought the car. Do not get me wrong, I like the car. It is quick, handles well, and gets good fuel economy. If I had to get another car today, it would be a Mazda 3 or a Subaru Legacy.

Definately if you want to spend a decent price and have something reliable!!! I sold my 97 LS N/A AutoX setup before I deployed and I regret it. Im getting another the first weekend Im home.

Reasons why its worth it:
-Gas mileage is 30+ on highway
-Best looking car around
-JDM front end conversion is pretty sweet
-You dont need a lot of exterior mods to look good (ITR addons all the way around FTW)
-Full disc brakes all the way around
-Ton of options to upgrade ANYTHING i.e. 5 lug, dang near any motor can be mounted, LS/Vtak if needed, and list goes on foreverrrrrrrrrrr
-You can put majority of the suspension parts from an EG on it if you ever come upon a good deal.
-Theres a lot of integras rollin around cause you have the ITR, SE, LS, RS, GS, and GSR versions out. So therefore parts are always readily available.
-Regardless of going forced induction or N/A, if you know what you're doing you can pull some impressive numbers
-Plus all the girls will want your number (Proven fact by me)

It is as if you knew the story of my car. I bought my 00 GSR in 02 for 18k with 12k miles with one previous owner. I am also in the 78k range with a similar commute

If something were to happen to the car, I would look into getting another Integra....Type R. It would feel weird going from one integra with money invested into it and then starting over from scratch.

1) Nothing spent on modifying a car is an "investment". You will never get that money back.
2) You can always take mod parts from the wrecked car to transfer over to the replacement.

1) Wont get the money back, but for a daily driver, it makes the commute that much more enjoyable.
2) Not if it's stolen.

I had my Integra sedan for 14 years ..... installed a JRSC and JDM front end during that time frame. Loved the gas mileage, the nice handling and the cost of maintaining the car was really good. I needed a bigger car so the Teg had to go. If it wasn't for that I would had kept it. oh well, I'm happy with my new ISF
