This better work or im BURNING my car!!
Here is the deal, i bought a used JDM GSR tranny with supposedly OEM LSD, and yes it was an option in Japan to get LSD in your GSR tranny. Well i put it in and tried to leave the driveway..... CLICK CLICK!! WTF is going on? So after changing the axle twice, still the same CLICKING! So i decided to change the fluid to Royal Purpal DIFF fluid and still the same noise....S.O.B.
So now im thinking that the LSD unit is bad. I take that tranny out and install my old one back in. Couple days later i rip the tranny apart, and see that its a clutch type LSD. So now my goal is to find who makes this LSD i have in my hands? so i call around and email a few company pictures of the unit, and narrowed it down to ATS. So i clean the tranny case and gears of all the fluid and reasemble the tranny back together. I order ATS 75w90 synthetic diff oil 70.00 f*ing dollars. So i hope this solves my problem.
So my question here is, has anyone used this fluid before and what was the outcome?
Second can someone tell me in ABC how to properly break in a clutch type LSD?

I posted in the other thread relating to this issue.
Go to your local GM dealership and ask for 2 quarts of GM Syncromesh FRICTION MODIFIED.
Our LSDs do not like normal oils, it has to be a friction modfiier. 30 bucks compared to your 70.

I'm kind of nervous in trying somthing different...since i've been through so much.
But i think i will hopfully it will work on mine. Did you ever hear about restacking your clutch so it only grabs at only 60% istead of 100%? reason I did the 60 is because this is a DD for me.

Well i didnt want it to grab so hard since this was only a daily for me so i got this from Kaaz. They told me there unit come shiped to the USA at 100% but you can change it.
I assume your ATS LSD is a standard one (not a carbon or D20). Using the proper friction modifier and rearranging the internal plates should reduce the chattering. Going further, you could change the cam angle to 45 degree. Your LSD has 55 degree. At last, you could change the whole internal discs to the ones we use for the Super Silent LSD. However, those two options are kind of expensive.
