New 2002 RSX owner - general questions
I have taken the plunge on a 2002 RSX - very clean interior and nice outside with some minor flaws (bumper, small indent on door). It drove very nice and seems to have been well cared for. Price about $8K. I take possession tomorrow.
What should I do to it right away to ensure top performance and continued smooth operation?
Anything else I should know or resources I should be pointed to would be appreciated.

Have you read the RSX/EP3 Faq at the top? Lots of good info on all kinds of stuff for mods....engine, suspension, exterior, interior, etc...I recommend reading through it first and then if you have any questions come back and ask cuz just about everything has been covered numerous time....

Well, For one if you didnt, Do a carfax on it anyway. Worth the 30 bucks. You should also change the oil/filter just so you know when it was done. Possibly new plugs and wires if you notice any wear on them. Really though, Its a honda, and its not going to break down for something little. My previous hondas include a 1991 honda accord, ran 286k before it finally broke down. Another was a 1990 honda civic, that thing just wouldnt die, drove it about 120k before i sold it, was around 230k at the time of sale. Just keep up on the maint and you'll be fine
Oh and one more thing, Dont lower your car on lowering springs with stock struts... I figured that out the hard way and it only causes problems.

For the OP's knowledge, your engine uses coil packs, not traditional wires. The plugs are iridiums and are recommended to be changed at 100,000 miles. Definitely do a carfax on it.
Is it a base or type s?
