You need to provide a lot more info to get a decent answer...I just typed in header in to the search function and it came up with 20 plus threads!!

Yeah, we don't know what your set up is first of all, second of all, when you say "best for the money"... what's your budget? I as well searched, and many results were found.

Read that for a little while... Please, do us all a favor... SEARCH!!!

Comptech makes a nice piece if you can find one.

uhmm hytech headers are pretty expensive...

but if your going to spend that much, you might as well go for somting a lot better. like DTR/SSR headers.

if your going the cheap route hytech REPLICA headers are ok, or Pro-Fab headers

If you are looking for the best bang for you buck, the DC sports JDM 4-1 offeres good power and is relatively cheap. This was true a few years ago, but now these Hytech copies offer even better power at about roughly the same price of a DC header.

there is a lot to consider when it comes to buying a header...for instance...

what power goals you have
price
ground clearance
design (4-1, 4-2-1)
construction (quality)

The best of the best would be the big dog Hytech, they custom make the header to whatever motor you plan on building (1.8, 2.0 etc)
Hytech, however, cost a pretty penny, probably about the most expensive of all, ranging between $1100 and $1500 brand new custom made from Hytech themselves.

You can also contact Dave, from SMSP, which also makes a pretty beefy header. Probably the second best in line, IMO. Those range from $900 to about $1100 brand new from Dave.

Other options include DTR, which is now called six sigma racing (SSR), Bisimoto, and RMF.

Those are pretty much the custom made headers that they make for our cars....now if we get to production headers, which are basically made to stock ( many made, same construction that serve the same purpose), those can be had for much cheaper.

THe best off the shelf production header is the Toda. The version 1 is practically impossible to find, but version 2 is sold in places like JHPUSA.

The toda can run you about $900 or so brand new.
Some other pretty good headers to look into would be T1R, Comptech, Hytech replica, Mugen, etc.

On team-integra.net, there is an article comparing many, and i mean many, headers from different companies. They give the specs on pretty much everything.

There is really no best header out there, just the BEST FOR YOUR GOALS.

If youre gonna build a beast 2.0 gsr motor, then i wouldnt settle for anything else than a Hytech or SMSP.

If you want something more for the street, then any production header, including the JDM ITR 4-1 would be a good choice, since they are marketed for mild to semi aggressive street builds.

hope that helps

I think the best "bang for the buck" is probably going to be the Toda replicas that are coming out now. Unlike the Hytech replicas, they don't require additional parts and/or fabrication to work with OEM length stuff. Plus the Toda design has great results on everything from stock B16A's to mildly built B18C's. I say this as a reference only, I'd rather save my money and give it to the people who did the R&D in the first place rather than those who copy it.

That would be SMSP or SMS Products. Great stuff and a great guy who makes it.

The best header you can buy, is like asking someone what flavor of ice cream is the best! your going to get 500 different answers, and in my case I would say RS*R header... but I'm just basis!! I <3 RSR and I could give a rats *** how jdm is it.. lol its just made extremely well and pared up to exmag, sounds amazing!

but ya gotta match your exhaust to the header...

a 4-1 header provides greater top end than a 4-2-1.

The 4-2-1 is designed to provide greater low end power for a more street feel.

could you explain what "street feel" is a little more...more importantly why a 4-1 header lacks the street feel quality? You have the right info more or less tho.

I'm not saying rsr header is the best header, just saying its a good decent header(which I'm quiet fond of) and I really think people who spend $1000-$1500 on a freaking header are crazy! when a lil more money they can boost the bitch

Have you seen dyno charts for a 1000K header? Believe it or not it is worth the money. I have a megan header that i got for 200$ Probably got me 10-15hp max. They hytech gets you like 50whp for a gain. I didn't spend the money on one but they are worth it.
