Default Whats the difference between an itr motor and gsr motor?

i just bought a 96' jdm itr engine and swapped it into my del sol. i know, i know, bust on me for buying it without knowing all the differences but i plan on keeping the engine mainly stock for reliability and longevity so i wanted the most powerful b18 i could get. its running great and im very pleased with the power gains. im just curious as to what are all the differences between a gsr motor and an itr motor. i know it has higher compression, different intake manifold, and higher lift cams, but what are ALL the differences between the two. what makes the itr pistons and engine in general so special? thanks

From reading your post it seems you really need to invest in researching your car, your engine, and your goals. Sorry to be condescending, but I find it hard to believe you bought an ITR swap over a GS-R swap(large price difference) and are unaware of the differences.

why would i lie? story is i bought a 99 cougar for 600 bucks cuz the dude thought it had transmission issues, when it turned out to be a crushed vent tube on the tranny lol. i turned it over and made over $3000 profit so i had the cash, that wasnt the issue. i already had 2k and i figured since i had the cash to go all out and buy the itr. and lucky for me it came with a 2 way lsd upgrade.

now i have a new question: where is the aluminum oil cooler located? on the engine or on the car it came off of? sorry for the stupid question im not as dumb as i sound. i know oil coolers are usually like mini radiator or they use the coolant to cool the oil like on cop cars. but under the title "engine" on that web page it says aluminum oil cooler? im confused by that, why would it be under the engine category? other than that, very informative page so thanks for posting it
