Turbo or All motor for my 07 civic Si sedan
Was wondering what everone thought was the best route to go, im sure its more personal prefrence, but wanted to see how others thought. Im relatively new to this site. Got into sooping up my car through a friend who has a 00 civic si. HIs opinion is turbo, he likes the sleeper look. I think ive always wanted that sound from all motor way. But im undecided, currently saving funds to be able to supe up my car.. Well would appreciate any thoughts from some of you more educated and experienced honda goers...
Thankyou for your time...

To get the full potential for All Motor you'll need stand alone EMS, not yet available.
Boost options vary but Greddy, Comptech offer the staple for performance right now. Standalone is recommended here too but the piggbacks that come with these systems will work just fine. The comptech has a custom Hondata reflash if I recall correctly.
This topic has been beat to death and the search feature could have yielded plenty for you to start with should you have used it. Also, journey over to 8thcivic.com, a lot more information is available there.

You are correct. The Comptech Supercharger uses a reflash. Until a stand alone becomes available we are stuck with 5 psi, unless you use the reflash with a AEM piggyback. I heard someone did this and got to 9 PSI for 271 whp. I have 260 whp with 5psi, so the piggyback method does not sound like it is optimizing the boost being provided.

If I were going to change the pulley I would get some bump sticks to go with and the AEM unit so I know my AFR is in check.
If you aren't doing at least and AFR tune with any mod I think you are wasting your time

I completely agree, that is why I am wanting for Hondata to release a stand alone. I have the pulleys to push the boost to 8psi and 12psi, but they sit in the shop waiting, forever waiting.
I am going to ask the Hondata reps at the SEMA show this November and see if I can get a definitive answer on a stand alone.

Stand alone is a more permanent ecu upgrade like k-pro and a piggy back is a one which is used just for certain things that companys put out. Like comptech has a piggy back option with Hondata when Greddy uses emanage. (I think thats what greddys called, correct me if im wrong)
