Thats what I like about late 80's camaro's, all you had to do was make the hatch click and the latch was motorized and would close.

OMG OMG OMG!!! WOOOW!

Are you serious?? My wife's 4 year old Altima does nearly the exact same thing.

Congratulations...you no longer get to expend the enormous amount of extra effort it takes to lift open an extremely light trunk lid.

If you really wanna impress someone....make your DOORS do that.

LOL, I could do that with a peice from a door. All you need is that cylinder thing so when it unlocks from the hatch its is already pushing on the trunk to open. I doubt yours closes so it would be the same. Besides its ugly when the trunk upens up all jumpy like that. BMW"s go up slowly at a constant rate which = wow factor.

Since this thread is on trunks. Here is my latest fiberglass project. It is a custom molded fiberglass trunk-lid cover for the inside of the truck (2006+ Coup). It is designed so you can install speakers, LCD TVs or anything you want.

These pic's are from my phone, so they are crap, but if anyone is curious I can take some pic with my camera and post them.

I was just saying that its not that difficult, since hes saying "One of a kind" and bla bla bla. I used my insanely buff arms to open up my trunk all the time. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by RICO_ &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

What the hell is wrong with you guys ?!?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Kidnkorner &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I dont see anything special</TD></TR></TABLE>

has anyone made this yet for a 8thgen? No. Could you make it yourself, probably not.

Who cares what your wife's Altima or other cars do. Point is this is not a stock feature on 8thgen's and it makes a nice subtle addition to the car.

And he deserves it why?!? Cause he designed and produced something by himself

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 100miles+ &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">LOL, I could do that with a peice from a door. Yeah that "door piece" and that "cylinder thing"...

Wow thread jack

If you guys don't have anything good to say or any reasonable questions to ask stfu. Someone makes a custom piece for our cars that hasn't been made before and this is the kind of feedback he gets. Why the hell would anyone want to make parts for you guys...

A trunk pop is a stock feature on the 8th gens. He just did it to where it opens all the way. Nothing special. The guy said post comments so that's what we did. Would have been much better if he could make it close. And it certainly would have been more "useful" on his part to post up a DIY of this amazing "custom piece" if it's such a valuable addition to the vehicle.

Kudos to him for taking the time to create it....but me personally....and the majority of people in here don't really see anything special about it. That's just OUR opinions.....you know since the OP asked for them.

I mean cmon...really....is this what the world is coming to when people can't even manifest the strength to open their own trunk anymore. Or parallel park their own cars (Lexus LS). It may be a nice subtle addition....but in all honesty...it really isn't making life that much easier to put it on.

The fact that you and the other people who posted don't see anything wrong with the way you blatantly bash anything and everything you don't like is [freak]ing bs...Your feedback is useless and a waste of everyones time...Exactly why this sub forum sucks...

If you actually took a second and payed attention when you watched the video you would have noticed he does this kind of stuff for a living...not to waste his time providing DIY's to ungrateful people like you.

And everyone keeps saying "It's no big deal, I could do that"...that's a good one, I'd love to see it.

If this sub-forum sucks so much...WTF are YOU doing in here? See that's the problem with people like you. Quick to make generalizations about people when you don't know all the facts cause you literally show up out of f**king nowhere on ur rag and decide to blow a fuse on us.

Then again if you actually SPENT some time in this forum you would realize that I help alot more people out than I bash. Maybe the bashing is just rubbing off in this thread from alot of the ridiculous threads that we've been getting lately....I dunno....but like I said.....I just don't prefer the device and I don't think it's beneficial enough to warrant its purchase.....and I have a very blunt way getting that point across. If that upsets you...well I'm sorry. But I tend to be a little overly-sarcastic at times. There are alot of gizmos and gadgets that I'm sure will make life easier for us......I don't think this is one of them.

But just to make things right.....I hereby formally apologize for my blunt comment ixiz. I respect the fact that you took the time to develop this device. And although I personally would not buy it.....other people might find it a nifty little addition to the car.

And getting back to YOU dt98gsr.....don't ever f**king say that I'm ungrateful. I've learned alot more **** on this forum than I ever could have known had I not joined up. Enough to the point where I was able to do major suspension work all by myself without a problem because of the help I received here. I am VERY grateful for that and I always return the favor any way I can. There have even been a couple instances with people deciding between Mazda and Honda (Speed3 vs. Si etc.)....and I still laid out the facts on both vehicles because I work for Mazda but own a Honda but still think outside the "Honda box". Ask ANYBODY in here and they'll vouch for me that whenver they need help/advice on something.....I ALWAYS help them out or at least point them in the right direction. So while I can be a real dick sometimes....anybody and everybody on here knows that I play my part to contribute to this forum the best that I can.

Think about that the next time you try to tell my I'm "ungrateful".
