99 LX CAI.
Just make sure whatever intake you get runs over to the area where the airbox was, because obviously priority one is actually getting semi cool or cooler air to the engine. I unfortunately don't know how the K&N typhoon is laid out. Just do a search for pictures of it installed.
Just about any intake for this engine is going to make you decent power because of the really restrictive design of the stock setup. I got what I guess you could refer to as an "ebay" intake. However, this one was actually meant for the accord and had pictures, so I knew it would hook up at least fairly well. Brand was HPS, and I got it for 70 bucks and it works GREAT. The sound that F23 makes will turn heads (in a good way).
I would agree that the stock CAI conversion would work, though to me it just looks like something I'd have to check everyday to make sure it wasn't falling apart. However, you can't argue too much with something thats basically free.
Also, for anyone else debating on an intake, beware that a TRUE cold air intake (One that takes in air from beneath or from the front of your car) is not recommended for use if you are planning on driving in much rain. Water doesn't mix well with your engine.
You could make your own as well, which I would have done had I realized how easy it would have been.
Anyway, check the FAQ. Good luck.

Definitely agree. Forgot to mention I changed the filter out that came with my kit because it was a total piece of crap. Used it for a little while (to see if my guess that it was junk would be correct) and it starting rusting and the red filter part started changing to a white. Just get a K&N filter and you won't have to worry about a thing.
