fluctuating idle when hot

fluctuating idle when hot
I have an 89 civic si. When I get off the freeway or anytime it's hot, and come to a stop, the idle fluctuates between 1000 and 1500 rpm. New radiator and bled it. It did this before also. Any ideas?

you need to adjust you iacv. mine always came loose on my old crx. it's easy to adjust. may have to search for a write up cuz i suck at explaining stuff! but im pretty sure thats what's up.

that may be, but you DO have an iacv. its on the back of the intake plenum nearest the firewall. the fitv, if you had it, would be located beneath the throttle body.

I replaced all of my small vacuum hoses yesterday. This made no difference. I pulled off my iacv and mine didn't even have a screen in either of the holes.
