Just wondering if anyone has had any issue with a cometic ????

They have been around for years and there are plenty of people that have used them.

Are you using a thicker one for force induction?

nothing wrong, but they only come in one size thickness vs cometic multi-size custom made

i have one on in my b18c1. no leaks, does its job. id recommend some arp head studs while youre in there.

Would recomend you stay away. I used one on my build and Jeff Evans (Neptune) advised me to go back to stock. I already had ARP head studs plus much more. Check my sig if you want more info.

Also, honda headgaskets are used by people with more than 600 whp...they are the best you can use. I would never go with anything but ever again.

checked your sig but i didnt get any information on why NOT to go with a cometic. im not bashing, im just interested. i was told that a cometic is actually better than an oem gasket. note i was only told, and i did not research further. i was planning on boost.

I only meant to check my car out to see what kind of mods/ HP it has and that it has a honda HG.

my bad been a long week
i have one on my lsvtec with arp's
having exsesive coolant system pressure issues kinda been blowing my mind
gasket has bout 1000 miles on it, only thing i can think of is i f ed up when i put the head together

I was really hesitant with getting a cometic head gasket as well since I've heard a lot of mixed reviews. Ended going with the advice from RedZone performance since I had them assemble all my parts and dyno tune. Since my compression was gonna be uber high (gsr block with jdm ctr oversized pistons), I ended up going with a cometic .51" head gasket. Haven't had any problems with it yet
