Default 89 prelude foglights on 88 ef

I have an 88 civic hatch. I bought the usdm 89 prelude clear lense foglights. They are very similar to the jdm ef9 foglights. With clear bulbs, the foglights shine a yellow light. I can see that there is a yellow housing for the bulb which is responsible for making lights yellow. Now does any one know if that housing is plastic or glass because I bought some 3000k yellow hid's fot them and in don't want the bulbs to burn through that housing. I will post pics soon

Not sure about the inside, but it has a reflector, so most likely plastic.

I just bought a pair of 89 Prelude fog lights. The lenses are clear but you can there's a yellow reflector inside. Does this mean, they do light up in yellow? What if you paint the lenses yellow so they look yellow 24/7? How will this affect how they light up, if at all? Thanks

Does anyone have a DIY on how to install these Prelude fogs on a 91 Civic? I know there's link to a CRX foglight installation on another site but is it the same process, same brackets, wiring, etc? These fog lights came with the OEM Prelude brackets but how to install or if they fit a 91 Civic Hatch is another story, right? Thanks

Yeah, the yellow reflector mean they light up yellow, and yes you do paint them so they could look yellow 24/7.. i painted mine here is a picture.... they look far better when you have them in your hands.

the fog lense is glass. the housing is like aluminum and the outside housing is plastic.

inside is a yellow condom (capsule) behind the square box shaped ****..i broke that off and let my fogs shine out more

heres one i did on my cousins 89 sedan..i do not have a pix of the backside of how its mounts, but i made my own bracket using my imagination.

fogs installed. Axle on both side installed.

Thank you for all the pictures and updates....all 50+ pages of it. I have a question. I noticed you installed sideskirts on your sedan. Which car did you get those off? I've seen Civic Hatches with EK sideskirts but I don't like them 'cause they curve out. Thanks
