i have a 93 del sol si but it has an D16y8 off a 98 ex motor. my question is;

i bought a set of airmass carb legal header for 92-95 ex. and i tried installing them and they didnt fit. top of the header didnt fit with the bolts on the engine. is it because i have a 96 ex engine? or the product was a defect?

It should all be the same man, the product is deffected. Headers bolts are pretty much the same for all D-Series either if it is a 1.6 or 1.5 vtec or non vtec is all the same pattern. Might want to call that company up man.

the headers should bolt to any d series engine from 92-00.

 

i just put one of those on mine the other day, it does fit, you just have to start one bolt at a time, eventually they will all line up. its kinda odd, but it works. and get a good header gasket before you put it on.
