Default 2000 Civic EX - power steering problem

My daughter's Civic has now twice had the following problem, which the dealer is unable to diagnose:

1.) Driving down the road, check engine light comes on.
2.) Soon after that, the car loses power steering and the battery and oil pressure light come on. The engine is still running. Pull over to the side of the road, with no power steering it is a struggle.
3.) Turn off the car, restart it and everything is fine.

Any ideas on this one? If the engine stalled that would make sense but it does not.

Thanks, Tom

Odd. You are losing all accessories (alternator, power steering) and oil as well. Seems as if the crank is somehow slipping all the belts temporarily. My concern is the oil pump, which I'm near positive is not belt driven. Does she also lose air conditioning/compressor when this occurs?

I've never heard of this happening before, but definitely check the belt side of the motor for anything broken-looking.
