I have been registerd here for over a year and I cand pm anyone. Why??

 

i can pm you fine...maybe you were a trial? idk...

 

you only have one post. theres a certain minimum posts you have to have i think

 

you sure your computers pop up blocker is off? i had the same problem when i first started

 

You couldn't PM someone because you hadn't posted, and were still a trial member.

The restriction is now lifted ....

 

Anyone can PM trial members all they want. Trial members just can't PM back.

In order to make the trial membership turn into normal membership, you need to post once after the tial membership period is over with.

Since the OP has now posted, he can send PMs.

Got to <U>My Profile</U> in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Then click on <U>Instant Message History</U>.

You're not supposed to have an inbox on this site.

Go to the top of the page.

Click "My Profile".

Then click "Instant Message History".

You'll see all the people you have talked to or who have messaged you. It's only for so long though. So old messages aren't there.

Click "Open IM" to send them a new PM.

just because you have 2yrs on the board doesnt mean anything if youo havent reached your post count.

 

And remember, your PM's disappear after a certain amount of time so save them if they're important

 

same here i couldn't find any PM's. So the PM's here are like IM's?

Okay, here's how the message system on here works.

Say I want to message someone. I either click on the icon under their profile information in a thread, search for their profile and go from there, or find them in my IM History.

So I've clicked that I want to IM/PM them.

I write whatever I want to say to them.

The next time that member signs on or loads a Honda-Tech.com page, the IM/PM will pop up for them to view and reply to.

It is not a "real time" type of system. As soon as you send me a message, I will not get it that moment. I will get it the next time I load a page on the site.

I just wanted to post this here because I've noticed a lot of confusion among the new users often.

 

how long the trial goes for cuz i need some help with my eg3
