so I just bought my recaro seats for my dc2. and I want to put them on the car but I know soon its gonna get stolen I don't have a garage although my car is park in front of the house I have the dual pager viper alarm on my car..how would you protect your seats from getting stolen? I have a civic before and someone been stealing my parts for atleast once every 2weeks...that's why I'm asking this question I don't want my seats to get stolen.
Not specific to seats, but the Audio / Security /Video forum has alot of good info on alarms and accessories.
Maybe you can cover them w/ some cheesey autobarn seat covers.

if they are black you'll be surprised how many people DONT notice them.
if they are anything but black and you are really worried. put a cheap seat cover over them or do like i used to do, put a trash bag over the top part when your not using them.
edit: your car will get more attention from the rims you choose to put on. so i would worry about that more.

First I would move to a house with a secure garage, then I would continue to modify my car!! I cannot stand to live in a place that has crime like that!! Cover your seats, and maybe get some security bolts for them??
Yeah, black seats aren't screaming out to everyone else like Red/Blue...or even those clean *** Yellow Recaros. I myself have a black Recaros and I feel pretty secure leaving my car places.
I have a removable steering wheel and a hub lock though, aside from an alarm and fuel cut, etc. I'd suggest those measures as well as anything else you can think of, there's no reason not to do what you can to protect it. Go for the gustoooo

Kodokan only sells these seat locks to S2K owners, but if you can get a hold of a set...

Get a garage or give up IMO. The Bay Area is brutal, as you already know. There is no way I'd park a car with Recaros on the street, especially red ones.

maybe I should just put the seats whenever I use my integra. this is my 2nd car..but it just a hassle putting them on and take them off.. if I weld it do you think someone can still steal them?
You should just move now... My whole car was stolen, probably due to the red jdm recaros... stripped to the bone. I have since moved to a house outside of the city with a garage for the S2000.... Seriously if you are weary at all, don't put them in.
BTW I had a 2 way pager alarm, fuel cut off integrated into the alarm, separate fuel cut off, main relay cut off, windows and power door locks disabled when the car was not running..... if they want it, they will get it.

They'll probably just steal your entire car.
I've noticed a trend lately...if someone wants your stuff, they won't bother with risking their neck trying to break into your car and taking it apart--they'll just steal the whole thing and strip it somewhere else.
