Default Snapped valve cover bolt.

In a moment of complete ignorance, I accidentally over tightened the front left (looking at the car from the front) bolt that fastens the valve cover to the engine. The nut snapped right off. I do not have time to take the valve cover off now as I have to go to school. Is the bolt easily replaced? I am going to the junkyard tomorrow for a few things and I should be able to get the nut and bolt there at the junk yard.

Might as well order parts new from honda and get new gaskets!

At least thats what I do.

Also valve cover tq is about 7lbs. Not much at all. GL in the future! Just hope you don't break one that you have to use an extractor next time.

edit- did all my posts get removed or archived? I coulda sworn I had more than 1!!!

Well, the gasket and seals are all new; that's how I snapped the bolt.
