si rear left rear

Default si rear left rear

the past few days i had been smelling a something like it was burning and looked at it and didnt see and thing cause i could tell where the smell was coming from well i found out the left rear brake isnt rubbing(or putting groves in the rotors)just smells really bad and i dont know what it is

yeah i didnt get any of that try that one again? a weird smell from the left side of the car?

oh sorry about that alright the left rear rotor has a burning smell coming from it and it doesnt look like theres any major marks on the rotor itself and the pads are fine, i also touched the rotors (all 4) and the left rear was the hottest by far

could it possibly be my cailper going out and not releasing?

does the car drag when you hit the brakes you could have that rotor stuck on i had the same problem so i replaced the pads and it seemed to fix it

doesnt seem like it,it brakes fine doesnt pull to that side or seem to be slower just smells really bad and doesnt seem good

hm i would say change the pads cause there cheapp see if it helps and if that doesnt maybe the rotors after or pull your tire and hand spin it and see if its different then any other tire

ok jacked it up took off the wheel and it spins freely so i drove it around the block and it still is getting hot and smelling but thats about it

also make sure your rubber brake line isnt kinked or twisted, if it waqs it could kep pressure in the caliper even after your foot is removed from the brake pedal....does it smeel if you were driving on the highway and not using the brakes?

sounds like whoever did the last rear brake r&r didn't re-lube the caliper slides. your caliper sounds like its dragging.
