Default whats better for a n/a build b16a2 b18c1 or poor mans type r

heres the deal just picked up a 2000 si and the prevous owner beat on it pretty good. the motor needs a rebuild she burns about a qt 1/2 of oil every other week. i just picked up a low mileage b18c1 that i got for a trade on 95 shell. i had the idea of building a poor mans type r but i want to get some more info on what motor would be better for building a n/a setup. im wanting to push atleast 250 whp and it is my daliy driver so want to make reliable. basicly want to know what is the better motor to build. so let mi know what you got.

why dont you try a gsr block with b16b pistons and a built head slap some stage 2 camshafts and a b16 tranny or if you could afford it use a type r tranny oh and a really good street tune or dyno

200 is a much more achevable goal. I don't think you understand what it takes to get to 250, just look around and check how many there are and the reassess.

so im basicly better off just building up the gsr instead. so what do you think a rough idea of the whp would be with that set up? gsr with b16b pistons a good street strip p&p and prolly sk2s2 cams and there valvetrain would get me mated up with a si trans?

right now im pushing the set up i mentioned earlier except im using type r pistons and this puts me in the 190 hp to the wheels not to mention 2.5 bolt ons so with b16b you can reach much more hp than me
