Converting from 5speed to Auto plus Swap..HELP!!
Hey I am planning on doing a h22 Swap from the 92-95 Prelude into my 1993 Civic DX. I was wondering how I can convert from manual transmission to auto? Is it going to be difficult. Besides buying (motor, tranny, mounts, axles) what else would I need mostly for this ocnversion...
(Yes, I know.. AUTO SUCKS!!!!! but my girl needs a DD for the winter)

You don't. First off even converting from a d-series manual to an auto is a huge pain in the ***, way more work than going from auto to 5 speed due to the wiring and you have to cut and weld the pocket mount on the passengers side. Once you include H22 into the equation your somewhat complicated wiring becomes very complicated wiring, you will also almost cetainly have to cut the passengers side frame rail to clear the H22 automatic transmission case. This is honestly a horrible idea. both converting from a manual to an automatic and an H22 in a winter car. What you want in a winter car is a manual tranny and the most underpowered engine you can get your hands on. You basically have 2 choices here as far as i can see. get another car thats an automatic or teach your girl to drive stick, its really not that hard, honestly i know a lot of girls that drive stick better than most guys i know.

She knows how to drive a stick, just sick of messing up her Audi in the winter, and throwing milage on her nsx during the summer. We have a civic shell at on of our houses so I want to do something to it.
converting from a manual is more money than it is worth, your best bet is to sell/trade the shell to someone who has an auto, but wants a manual.

Pics of said winter and summer vehicles would show the skeptics otherwise as many will find this highly unbelievable.

Many or all of us.
Any body with that kind of money with multiple houses would never dream of trying to drop a auto h22 into a 93 DX. A person with that kind of money would go buy a h22 lude AUTO if that is what they want. AGAIN
