whistling sunroof on my 96, annoying the hell out of me
My 96 coupe EX has developed a annoying loud whistle from the sunroof.
From a visual check, all the rubber is in place, and the sunroof works fine.
Its loud enough that the only way to drown it out is if you have the stereo up loud.
I can't tell whats wrong. the car has some sun damage paint on the roof. I was thinking that the rubber seal around the sunroof might be dried up, and or lifting at highway speeds.
any ideas?

I'm sure you're aware that the whistling is from air, my guess is the rubbers really are not completely sealing it, I have this problem from my passenger window but am too lazy to fix.
So your assumption of it lifting at high speeds is probably a good one, Try getting painter's tape (the blue stuff so it doesn't damage paint) and tape all around the rubber seals so you cover it completely. Then take it for a spin and see if you have the problem. If you don't I'd hit up TAS Auto and buy a new rubber gasket to go around the hole
