Help to shim diff, the clutch housing

Default Help to shim diff, the clutch housing

How do i shim the diff? the clutch housing side
I lost my shim and i need to purchase one and re shim.

What should the clearance be on the clutch housing side?

shim goes in the other case.

there is no shim in the clutch housing side?

the clearance on the other side should be 0 right
meaning a feeler guage wont be able to go thru?

I dont know if this is for both LSD and open differential but for a LSD, there should be no more then .004 clearance with the feeler gauge.

I believe I did the MAX clearance where you couldnt fit anything in and now my tranny is giving a little hard time changing into other gears from neutral at low rpm's. Might be one of my reasons why my shaft did not spin freely when it was complete (I didnt know it was supposed too)
