Default Coilovers or Lowering Springs ?

I was wondering, What is better for a suspension for my car ? i got a 95 civic coupe. Lowered with coilovers on stock struts... so yeah.. u guess it !!! my struts got blown.

I was thinking on buying skunk2 coilovers off from ebay, the whole thing tho. struts + coilovers. But a friend of mine told me that it would still blow it so i'm just wondering, should i even invest the 800 bucks or should i go with lowering springs instead ?

Car is currently used as a daily driver and it is to have a d turbo next summer so i need to know what i'm doing.

you can buy a skunk 2 setup ( coilovers and springs) on ebay for 560 shipped, if you have good coilovers now and they arent too bad just buy new struts, if you go with a lowering spring you lose the aspect of adjusting the ride height, I guess it really depends on how the roads in your area are and how much you want to put up with and spend

i went from lowering springs to coil overs. will never get lowering springs again. you can't get towed. and your car stops better with coilovers. no thrust forward when u stop. thats just my opinion

I'm looking at going with springs instead too, they are A LOT cheaper. I want a slammed look. If the ride isn't as smooth I guess that's not too big of a deal and this way I can keep stock shocks.

it depends on what you are looking for. as for you friend is incorrect, i have two cars one with kyb agx struts w/ ground control coilover springs and koni yellows w/ground control coilover springs. They both handle great and i have had the kybs for about 3 years and have yet to blow a strut. If you are going to buy lowering springs buy either
1. Eibach Sportline
2. H&R Sport Springs
i have never personally had them but i have heard nothing but good things from the two of them, especially with stock struts
good luck

haha quite a variety of answers haha. Ok. i don't mind spending the 700 bucks from the ebay skunk2 pro-S full coilover sets. i just want the coilovers to not mess up with people getting in my car and my system. I got 2 12" in a big box that barely fits the trunk, + the car is to be daily drived and i often go to the meetups with friends so like every sat. the car gets liike 4 ppl in it ( counting me ) for about 5 hours......

Now, you guys tell me. I don't mind spending 700 but i ain't spending like 1200 for tein or stuff like that, i need something good cuz next summer if i get to build the motor and get the turbo in i need that car to be stable on curves cuz with that power i dont want to go wrong....

However, idk keep giving ideas and choices, its pretty interesting right now hah thanks a lot guys
