Hey Man,

The very best advice I can give you is, Use only the best paint!! Spray can stuff and cheap professional stuff will only have you re-painting your rims in six months.

I used PPG Frost white acrylic urethane single stage paint. DuPont and Glasurit are also very good.
Strip your rims by having them bead blasted all the way down to the metal then spray them with an epoxy prime from PPG and let them cure overnight. Be very careful not to run the primer because this primer is not made to be sanded.
Spray the wheel with the color you wish and let them cure for at least two to three weeks.
Make sure when you go to have tires mounted that you use tape to protect the center of the rim from the machine they muont it to and put a real thick coat of wax all over the rim before mounting the tire as well.

Take your time and do the job right the first time!

Good Luck,
Glenn

Find appliance epoxy paint. That's the most durable spray paint I've ever found, and I've shot damn near everything with it. I had some wheel covers painted black for a few months, and they held up fine. Follow the directions. Recoat to soon, and it bubbles up like crazy.

I work at Advance Auto and we sell Appliance paint made for dryers, washers, and fridges. I think it's like $5 a can
