my close call clip
this is a video of me a few weeks ago, i just got around to putting it up. its one of my biggest reasons i'm switching my bike over to track only.... (it's nothing terrible) just a reminder it's usually not you that you need to worry about

So you're telling me it's just as easy to avoid a crash when pushing the limits at knee-dragging lean angles on a blind turn as it is when riding safely within your means and giving yourself ample time to make a decision on how to deal with a situation?

Unfortunately...this time it was you that you needed to worry about. Sure the car driver was being a jackass with 1/5th of his car in your lane. But you were going double the speed limit (im sure) at a pretty good lean angle (more angle means less chance to avoid any hazard...such as this). Had you gotten in an accident it would be 50/50 fault of the accident.
Glad youre okay though.

if he got in an accident, the civic would have been 100% at fault. However, when riding aggressively like that you obviously don't leave yourself any leeway to avoid an accident and put yourself at the mercy of other drivers. not something good riders do

i know not everyone rides at the same level and i'm by no means justifying riding hard on the streets in any case, but i dont ride even close to full level on roads, in this case my knee is not even near dragging. you can see how far the car really is over the line if you watch the clip in the high def version. i didnt post it to make the car out to be an attacker, but just as to point out how the unexpected will occurr... i know every time one these incidents is caught on tape it will make whoever sees it think just once more about going to a track.
Frickin' cagers. I was cruising AFH one morning when a dually was sliding his rear tires along the yellow stripe. Had I accelerated to the corner, I may or may not have been hit (his rear was 1/3rd of the way over). Something told me to back off the throttle, though, so I did.
Glad you weren't swiped by the Civic.

I didn't think that the biker looked like he was riding near his limits and the Civic was WAY over the line. You take a risk riding aggressive on the street but most of the time we all hope that people aren't taking corners like that.
i think its funny how people say "thats why you dont do that **** on public roads" and "dont ride like a jackass breaking the speed limit" but you ALL have done it and do it.

Yes, there is some hypocricy there.....but the same can be said for the way the civic is driving. We all say "f*cking cager!" but I bet everyone here has done something stupid (probably just like the civic) in a car.

I'm not talking from a legal standpoint, i mean in my opinion. Had there been an accident, then if either party didnt do what they did there would be no accident. Hence 50/50.
