Default How hard is to put EVO RECARO seats in civic hatchback?

My boy just gave me the complete front and back seats from his EVO.. I wonder how hard is it to convert it into my hatch. Currently I have del sol seats in my car, but am I able to swap the brackets over to the EVO seats and drop it in? If you can install forum, please copy and paste or from any site that someone have done this before... I seen it happen in integra, so I know there's a way. Just need more info... I did a little research and some people used these http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc...ry=67 rails for evo 3, but how would I know which one I can used with the 2006 evo mr black w/ red stitch seat.... thanks
Here' seome Pix of the seat:

fabrication is your friend. nothing is impossible.

i would say seat swaps are probably the easiest thing to do. maybe not the backs. but the fronts for sure.

they are recaro's so you might be able to just use a universal rail, like a recaro or bride rail. ive always just used OEM rails and just swapped the whole assembly or fabbed 2 sets together.

you dont need to convert anything, or get anything custom

just get rails for jdm dc2 itr or ek9 ctr recaro srds, either the stock recaro rails that come on the seats or others like memory fab or vision ultra lows

the evo recaro's rails mount to the bottom of the seat just the dc2 ek9 recaros do

What you guys think of these?
Detail Description:

Racing Seat Bracket is made of high tensile steel with easy installations. These seat brackets will bolt up to any Recaro or Sparco seat.

Fit 1992-2000 Honda Civic (all model)

just do EXACTLY what he said to do...cant get any easier than that. those are the rails you need & you KNOW are gonna work. dont get rails you're not too sure will fit or not

All Recaro recliable seats like those in the jdm itr and evo mount the same way. Go buy some Vision One Touch seat rails and simply bolt them in

if you guys didnt know...the rails/sliders on the Evos are built into the seat base...all you need to do is take off the original mounting brackets from the rails and use custom mounts.

When I installed my DC5 Recaros into my Evo 9, the stock OEM rails cannot be taken off since the rail adjuster was built into the OEM seat. I had to buy Recaro rails and I just reused the stock mounts. Unless the Evo 8 seat base are different.

whatever you do don't buy that trendgear bracket. The alignment on it is probably going to be WAY off.

Anymore more advice? I realized that the base/rails cannot be removed. The only way is to removed the brackets and install custom brackets. Question is? Where do I get those custom bracket? Any idea?

You will need the OEM Evo seats and rails...so make sure the seats your budy gave you are complete. From there you will only need to make custom chassis mounting brackets.

You can remove the chassis mouting bracket on the Evo seats... they're only hold by one bolt on each corner. Once you remove the base aka chassis mounting brackets will come off, then measure the length and make you own base/chassis mounting brackets to bolt it into your Civic.

This is the easiest/cheapest way of doing it. But then again you can fab or order other rails/sliders that are specially made for this conversion but it will cost you more$$$
