RSX Rev Limit?

RSX Rev Limit?
I'm trouble shooting an RXS S rev limit situtaion in my built from scratch autocross car. Engine will not rev past 5400 RPM. My VSS drive broke in the transmission. Now I wonder if ALL RSX S have a rev limit of 5400 when the car is NOT moving. Anyone want to check that out for me. Slowly rev your RSX S up to 5600 (in neutral) and see if the revs stop at 5300-5400. I'm not trying to blow up your motor, just tryiong to sort out a problem.

yes they have a rev limit when the car is not in drive....i had the same ? when i had a rental RSX for a week...i was jus playing with the car...and was revving....and it wouldnt rev past 5400 rpm....

Yeah the RSX has a rev limit when it is not moving. It stops at 54oo rpm. At first I had thought something was wrong with my car then I started searching and found the info. Well good luck with the tracks.

Well the Stock RSX is pretty high. hhhmmm, I wonder...Maybe acura should sponser a RSX rally car. hehe. Guess you turned your RSX rental into a rally car for the day huh.. heheh maybe I should get a rental car (rsx base) and rally it hehe..

Heheh off road time for a rented RSX. hehe I'll get the base RSX since its alot more torque at low RPM's hehe..Can you say drifting with a FF car hehe..

yeah i need to send my R to the shop for that clicking noise in front, some kinda rattling underneath da kar...surely they'll give me a loaner (rsx) *evil grin*

Are you sure your not just saying their is a noise so you can take it back in and get a rsx rental? hehee.. I know the way you thing.... just remember one thing..Take the camera!!! LOL
