Salvage Title Cars Restored
The reason i post this is because people easily get discouraged from buying salvaged cars. My stand on this is that not all salvaged cars are bad, insurance companies have too many different reasons for Salvaging out a car.
I want this thread to show how nice a salvage car can be transformed into. Im sure Alot of the cars on H-T may be salvage especially the builds. Brave people went out and bought these projects not concerned about the title. With a goal in front of them, and nothing to stop them. This Thread should reflect those type of people and their cars.
Let's see those cars brought back to life.
My Contribution:
On it's way to restoration

my car is salvaged and I have no idea what happened. Shock towers, radiator support and everything is straight. Possibly my driver side fender was destroyed since the paint on that is cruddy and the clear is coming off while the rest of the car is perfect.
thats weird^
my 1st car was salvage title. it wasnt the salvage title that made me want to sell it because I knew it was only salvaged after it was stolen. It was an east coast car, otherwise I'd prolly still have that car.

My car has a salvages title too. But anything will really make an insurance company "salvage" a carr. Simple radio theft, minor fender bender to the rear 1/4 panel. I've known someone who got their car pronounced salvaged after a broken windshield.
As for the OP....needs more work.

That's what I was thinking. Only thing I would ever buy a salvage car for would be to turn it into a track car.

This thread is to show people what a salvage car can be turned into, kind of like a before and after but where the car stands now is the point of this thread so people will see if and no shy away from salvage cars, like i said i'm sure some of H-T's hottest whips are salvage and you'd never know.

This is the salvage I bought. Came from Arizona, which meant no rust, and that's very hard to come by on the east coast of Canada. It was salvaged because of an engine bay fire. There was one spot where the fuel filter would have been that needed a small patch welded in. Other than that the shell had no damage.
I sold the car last year for $9500.

Well in the interest of a slow growing thread, i'll contribute my seconds.
as you can see i have a thing for salvaged cars.

It eventually ended up being wrecked on the way home from law vegas on the presidents day weekend. Poor Car, my first car.

My EG is salvaged due to a doorskin, a fender and a marker light.....NO structural or even suspension damage..Needless to say i wasnt gonna pass it up at $1200 for an otherwise clean and stock 95 VX.
Salvage title = Worth half the price. If you own a salvaged car, expect to sell it for half the price of a clean title vehicle.
I see too often fools trying to sell their cars for top dollar when it carries a salvage title.

Yea how the hell are you going to fix that
Yea how the hell are you going to fix that
I would buy a fresh salvaged car to put back together myself, but would never buy one that has already been "fixed". Too many shady people out there.
