ok just need clarification, did the b20z come in the 99 crv? pretty sure it did but not totally sure....(piston shopping for my b20b)

 

If you are piston shopping it does not matter. Only difference on the bottom end is the pistons. Rods and cranks are all the same

 

thats why i asked what year crv the b20 z came in so i can order z pistons... i know that is the only difference...

If your B20b is jdm, then only the year would tell you the difference as the engine code didn't change when the compression jumped in '99 for jdm engines. All '99+ B20's are high compression, you can tell real easy by whether it has a knock sensor or not which one yours is.

 

Yes - 99-01 CR-V has the B20Z engine/pistons.
