Default homemade performance parts?

What are some good homemade performance parts to experiment with on a 95 hatch? They don't have to be street legal, I just love to build stuff.

visit home depot....

first cold air intake piping (aluminium), don't use PCV (very harmful when hot)
garden fencing for the Lip spoiler (aerodynamics)
dremel for the P&P head job
"homey d" oil catch can
cermaic paint to keep the intake cooler
aluminium or steel rebars for strut tower bars
