90% of people will tell you 15 is the perfect size for an ef.
I have 15's on mine and love it. I would post a pic but im not lowered so it looks like an h2 hummer.

Different rims have different effects, it all depends on the style rim, like for rota slips, 16s look the best because of their wide spokes, black rims too
Mesh rims can go either way, same with high offset
mugen rnrs are 15s and look good it depends on the car and rim combo too.
Mostly, if you like it, that's good enough

OK it's finally my day off. But What I what to say is this... I saw and looked at the picture that kid send of is red CRX with an B16(NICE), and all what I have to say to that is that the rear it looks like there maybe 3 inches form the tire to the wheel weel that you can see. But i'm lowering my car 2.50 inches???? and lets this say iF i HIT AN BUMP hard the wheels would go up and maybe beaned the metal around the QUEAL....... So yeah i'm maybe goin with stock
That is alway a risk that you will take when lowering a car. If you are concerned about it just don't lower the car as much. I have my car where I can get at least about two fingers in there and when I spun off track is did bend the lip of my front fender. So as I said it is all are your own risk. I also prefer suspension travel as it helps with cornering ability that is another reason I don't not lower it down too much.

Mine are 15 x 6.5 40 offset and I am running 205-50 tyres....never any issues with rub or anything and I have one finger of gap....and I track the hell out of it..
