Default port and polish

i have a d16y7 yes i know its not a good all motor car. but im still gonna play with it...so my question is should i have the head ported and polished? anything else i should do while they are doing that? anyone know where i can get hi compression pistions for a y7?

definitely get the valve seats reworked. If you can get larger valves, put them in and have the valve seats opened up to accommodate the valves. If you just have the stock valves, have the seats opened up as far as they can go so they contact the valve as far out as possible. Leave some meat in there for valve-to-head heat transfer. Regardless, a multi-angle valve job will help immensely as far as flow into the cylinders is concerned. I'm sure others will chime in on other things to do as well as agree/disagree on what I've said.
