Default Best recommended alarm system

Im currently shopping for an alarm for my car and i was curious to see what alarms you guys would recommend. i would like something with a remote start but thats not my biggest concern. i mainly want that alarm to be insanely LOUD because i live in an apt. and i want it to wake me up from a dead sleep if it starts going off in the middle of the night. (luckily i live on the ground floor and my parking spot is right outside my bedroom window so all i have to do is open my window....point....and pull the trigger) I dont want any cheap alarms, i was hoping to get pointed in the right direction of a loud quality alarm system. thanks in advance.

Exactly. I did automotive electronics for 16 years and have fixed some of the most jacked up installs. Some of theses systems ran in the 400-800 dollar range and werent worth 20 bucks because of a shitty install. As far as something loud look for a system with an auxillary horn output and connect it to the factory horn. There are also some piezo sirens out there that output in a higher frequency range and little more db. Looking into remote starts, try and find one that has a paging remote. They arent loud for **** but it could let you know somethings happening if youre out of earshot.
