I am planning on getting my car repainted... same color.. right now it's green... I was quoted $1000 to redo the whole car.. I was wondering if anyone knew how it would look if i put a bluepearl clearcoat or blue/green sparkles(flakes?) on it..

anyone know how that would turn out.. and a guesstimate as to what it would cost..

pearl coat shouldnt be much.. but some body shops cant do it for ****..the pearls come out all blochy.. my old paint had white pearls.. in the sun it shimmers.. looks nice..

 

Sparkles paint job would cost too much and I think its gay.

 

why would you want to paint it green again??? but yeah flakes would look good.

 

because you'll get the best result color-wise and using the same color allows you to sand down the existing paint and use it as a basecoat that doesn't distort the hue that you plan on slapping down. it's also cheaper.
