92 Prelude Si w/ h22a
Selling my 1992 Prelude Si with 160k on the body and about 60K miles on the JDM h22a. Looking to get $5500 OBO (Shoot me some offers) or trade for a 4dr Integra GSR. Car is milano red and cracked leather interior was replaced with like new condition cloth interior. I have receipts of most of all the parts.
THE GOOD/MODS:
-JDM H22a from Japanese Engine Import in Sterling. Engine has new timing belt, water pump, front and rear main seals, oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket
-Has new radiator, hoses, and thermostat
-Stock Si (h23) transmission with new Exedy oem clutch, pressure plate, and resurfaced flywheel
-Has ebay intake and megan style header with 2.5" collector mod
-Has Ground Control coilovers on OEM S2000 rear struts and OEM Prelude fronts
-Car sits on white 15" Drag DR16 with a red lip
-Resprayed milano red in early August with shaved emblems and has JDM one piece headlights
-Has accord front and rear lip included with sale - haven't had time to install it
-Interior upgrades include 94+ centre console with armrest, 95 el cluster, matching cloth front and rear seats with matching door panel inserts and custom short shifter
-Has Blaupunkt headunit and some aftermarket speakers, not sure what kind, but sounds pretty good.
-Has all power options, p/w, p/l, sunroof, c/c
-Heat works and cold a/c was just retro'd this summer and recharged to r134a with new compressor and all.
THE BAD
-Tranny needs new input shaft bearing (brand new OEM honda one with axle seal included with sale, just haven't had time to install it), but gears don't grind and still shifts pretty smooth
-Paint isnt perfect, has some small dings i missed
-Sunroof has rust (common on 4th gens) but was going to retrofit a 5th gen glass top, just havent had time to go the junkyard in Brandywine (they sell it for $50 if you pull it yourself)
-2 tires have camber, but still have some tread on it
Overall the car pulls strong even with the Si tranny. Does not have any mechanical issues and is very reliable. I drive to Charlottesville (UVA) almost every weekend and sometimes during the week (4 hour trip roundtrip) and I've never had any problems with it. I've been as honest as I could with the condition of the car and have only had the car since last October and would like to keep it, but I'm just ready to get into something else (REALLY want a 4dr GSR - No LS's because I can't go from a H22a to a B18b
) but shoot me some offers.
Price is negotiable but I'm just trying to get enough to get a sedan.
