Default Type R style seat ?

I'm looking to get new seats but don't want to pay a lot so i was looking at getting the type R styled seats. for those that have owned these seats... Are they comfortable to sit in and do they last long (fading & tearing)? Are there different companies that make these same seats? thanks for your help

they fade fast, but most importantly they are not safety tested. So in a accident they are going to fail and you are going to get injured. So if i were you and on a budgets i would opt for some delsol seats.

Thank you for letting me know that, i don't want to get something thats not safe. I have a roll bar so i'm looking for seats that i can use a 3 or 4 point harness. Any other good seat options?

My brother has the replicas. Not very comfortable at all. For some odd reason the bottom lower part of the seat has a bracket that jabs into your lower back. I'm not too sure how he can stand it driving around like that. But yea get the originals if you can.

thats good to know. I figured that they would be uncomfortable because they are so cheap.

Any other suggestions are welcomed

he has a rollbar and delsols arent a safe seat to run a harness though. He needs a seat with the holes in the back rest to run the harness through. In a accident the harness isnt going to stay in its place and hold him in without the holes in the seat which keeps the harness from sliding left or right.

i have the mugen replica seats and they are comfy. not bad compare to my del sol and my old sparco torino. i speak from experience. i don't think some of these people actually experience it, they're just speaking from rumors.

I have the nrg replicas there garbage there not fading but my car is in the garage so thats probably the biggest reason why. The are flimsy thou if I were you look in to some S2K. I had them a long time ago but then they stole my car so thats the only reason I don't have them anymore. I have sat in the sparco torino unless you are 5'8 140 there not comfy at all and they are narrow on the bottom Im 6'0 240 so I got a wide *** lol.
