I am fixing to order some A* boots and I am wondering about the sizing. I have a few articles that say that A* boots run a little bigger. So instead of ordering a 12 US which is what i wear on a daily basis i should get an 11 or 11.5( Converted to 45 or 46 Euro.) Just curious to see if you guys might now.
I am also in a little bit of a confusion about going with either Sidi tall boots like the Strada series or going with the A* Sm-X2 low boots. Any opinions.
Thanks in advance

Awesome thanks guys, i am ordering them tomorrow so hopefully they will work out. I am still kind of iffy if i want to get a Sidi Tall boot or go with the short boot for A*... decisions decions
I bought my A*'s in a Euro 47 which ended up being a little too big on my US 11.5/12 foot. If you go with the A*'s I would buy a 46 if you normally wear a 12. Also, check if they have a return policy. Not all boots, like shoes, will fit every foot. I can't wear Icon boots for the life of me, even if I wanted to. Stick to Sidi or A* like you are looking at now

Thanks again guys, i think i am going to order the A* boots, and I will be ordering from new enough, those guys have done nothing but treated me well so i am going to keep giving them business. Sometimes it sucks to order stuff and have to wait for it to drop ship but the quality and the service is great.

I wear Alpinestars SMX-Plus size 8 US and I wear a Adidas Superstar size 9 US....they fit about the same. Heard from other guys with the same experience. I'd say get a size down in the A* boot from what you normally wear for sneakers.

not any with boots. I have 3 in my city and they only carry crappy helmets and even crappier jackets and gloves. The closet place to go is about an hour and some change away.

A*stars (s-mx plus) run true to size and so does the Sidi (corsa vertigo). Tried on both and i rock 9.5 DC's and my foot is comfortable in a 43 euro (size 9 us). The only reason why i tried on both those boots is because of the calve adjustment. I couldn't for the life of me put on a regular boot and even attempt to zip it up. F*N Islander Calves. hahahah

I'm also a Size 12 for "daily" shoes, and I just ordered a pair of Size 46 aka 11.5 US A* SMX-4 boots. They should fit just right.

Random note I found on a website when I Googled "Alpinestars SMX-4 boots review":
"Please note- on average, the Alpinestars SMX4 Boots run one size larger than other other similarly sized Alpinestars boots. Please order accordingly to avoid returns."

so sidl and A* runs same size? or should i measure my foot with one of those sizing thing at foot wear store and tell them this is my size and what size should i get? because shoes size is different by brands

From what i have read and understand yes. I normally wear a 12 on the daily so that i have a little extra room. That in the sidi conversion should work just fine. For the A*'s that run a little bit bigger i went down about half a size.

Update:
I received the boots this morning, and they fit me pretty well! It feels a bit loose around the calves, but I probably could pull the velcro section tighter for that.
They definitely need to be broken in, but I can already feel the difference in comfort and safety!
Verdict: The 1/2 size down rule is a good rule of thumb for buying A* boots

glad it worked out for you.. i tried on a 44 (us 9.5) a lil big. So i came up on smx-plus boots for 180 ( euro 43) snug and comfortable
