personally i would just build a single slammer Vitara build with the pullet proof bottom end you can reach 400+ HP.. and ride the si until you get the D Ready.

dude, the B16 is one of the most sought after Honda engines....there was an article on the net, i forgot where though, where a shop took a B16 bored to a 1.7 liter and turbocharged it at 10psi and it made 300 to the wheels!!!! honestly i would just turbo it and tune it to like 8psi and have fun
haha, real funny. The B16A2 makes like 160hp stock.
Unless you want to build like a LS/VTEC or drop in a K, leave it stock. I'd kill for a B series, even a plain old LS.
Everyone here is so concerned with horsepower. Hell, when I got my car, that was the first thing I looked into. The more you drive the car though, the more you start thinking how the suspension could be stiffened, brakes upgraded, etc.

your an idiot if your gonna swap out that motor for something else.. you need to build THAT motor or get a less expensive trim of the civic like a dx or cx model THEN do a motor swap. most of the money that you paid for that si is because of the motor itself. dont be stupid and do a swap.. just get some bolt ons intake manifold, air intake, and headers and your set. then later you can get cams and get it tuned or something.
