Could also be the regulator/rectifier. How have you come to your current conclusion?

New alternator (stator) will be pricey. New rectifier will run around $100. Get the aftermarket unit if you can, it's a much more reliable piece than the OEM.

Check http://www.ronayers.com for OEM parts

when did you last replace the battery?

batteries die very quickly on bikes so there is a good chance you might just need a new one

if youre unsure about the condition of the battery, take it out and go to a dealer. They can test it right in front of you and tell you the batteries current health with a portable tester tool

It might just need a charge. Take the battery to autozone and they will test it and charge it for free.

If the bike has been sitting for a month or so the battery likely just drained and needs a recharge.
