Looks like Stoner is going to go against the advice of his Team Manager's advice and is going to stick it out for the rest of the season:

Nothing ***** about trying to get injuries fixed before the next season. If I were him I would get the surgery out of the way early so I didn't have to miss preseason testing. On the other hand, Nicky could probably handle that so maybe it's no big deal. At the very least I'm sure he wants to beat Pedrosa for second.
"Roberts fits the European stereotype of the American racer: often loud, always cocky, sometimes profane. And spectacular on the track, as if he were still throwing a 750-cc flat-tracker around a half-mile dirt oval back home. After Roberts won his first world championship in 1978, the Yamaha firm made him a full factory rider. [B][I]Testing a bike in Japan that winter, he broke his back and nearly died. In 1979 he wore a brace under his leathers and successfully defended his title.[I][B]He won again in 1980."

But really, is anyone as bad *** as King Kenny? Well maybe Mick Doohan but that's it.

Where's the popcorn emotiocon?
Anyway, I think Stoner should take care of his injuries and come back fighting next season.
