Default How do you get your car solid?

I drive a 98 civic sedan and the thing feels like it's all loose when going over bumps and when turning. Have front/rear strut bars, everything else is stock.

I drove a friend's 96 camry for a couple days and that thing felt SOLID when going over bumps. Anyone got tips on how to get the solid feeling?

some nice oem replacement stocks, like just plain jane kyb's and i've heard people notice a world of difference out of tie rod ends, which are inexpensive, but yes, I am familiar with the aged honda "clunkiness" and it sucks and it's probably better to just drive that car until it dies and then buy a newer car that is more solid, at least that is my philosophy.

Well......there are about a million things you can do.....starting with bushings.....more specifically trailing arm bushings.....

EDIT: Look into Hard Race bushings. They're made of hard rubber which is more durable and longer lasting than polyurethane.

Yep its just your old parts wearing out. If youre keeping the car just go through and replace it all. Mine feels pretty good but I still need some bushings.

My buddy and i just swapped out the stock springs and shocks his 94 sedan and it feels a lot better. His control arm bushings are shot too so that will probably be next.

So here's a list:

1. LCA bushings (pain in the ***)
2. Lower the car (I'm thinking S-techs/H&R sport springs on stock shocks, I'm no bauler)
3. Ball joints
4. Other bushings

I wish I could afford the stich weld the chassis, but that's not gonna happen, this is my DD.

Anything else? I'm thinking a sway bar in the back will help too?

Ever since I dropped with tokicos and skunk2s, the ride feels a lot better in my car. Tires play a pretty big role as well.
